I have Samsung Magician v8.0.0 installed for managing my new

Samsung 980 Pro 1TB and 2TB NVMe SSDs

and its Windows service exe [SamsungMagicianSVC.exe] is causing my USB storage devices to fail to eject now... and Windows Task Manager was also causing it to happen but I closed that app to see if it was still a problem and found out that SamsungMagicianSVC.exe is causing it to happen too...

PLEASE FIX it Samsung.

examples:

Samsung BAR Plus 64GB - 300MB/s USB 3.1 Flash Drive Champagne Silver (MUF-64BE3/AM)

and

here is the Windows event log entry for the failed ejection..

The application \Device\HarddiskVolume4\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung Magician\SamsungMagicianSVC.exe with process id 4988 stopped the removal or ejection for the device USB\VID_090C&PID_1000\0374521040010484.
Process command line: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung Magician\SamsungMagicianSVC.exe"
List of affected devices:
USBSTOR\Disk&Ven_Samsung&Prod_Flash_Drive&Rev_1100\0374521040010484&0

ps:

I am posting my report here as I could find no other obvious route to bug report to Samsung..

sorry if its the wrong category

the only Samsung products I own outside of my Galaxy S21+/S10+ smartphones.. and my NVMe SSDs are a USB drive  I listed the Amazon product pages above.

Category is fine, I would get rid of the software tho, Windows manages them just fine,
as for USB drives like the WD, no need to unmount to remove, Flash Drive do need to be unmounted tho

ok, I use it to keep track of my TB written info.. and to clone drives if I need a replacement drive..

the WD USB HDD is a rotating platter HDD need to be stopped to park the read/write head.

I'd uninstall for a bit then reboot and see if it still freaks out when you unmount

no need to uninstall to test..  If I stop the service it will eject.

I see, if it came down to not being able to unmount and having to stop it each time, depending on how even you unmount, I would ditch it
