i have wasted 2 days trying to screen mirror my samsung chromebook xe500c wirelessly via chromecast to my 1 yr old sony bravia smart tv which has chromecast built in. i know it can be hooked together with hdmi-I was doing this a decade ago with just connecting my laptop with hdmi. i was expecting something a little more advanced now than still having to use hdmi. do chromebooks have chromecast built in, and how do i do it? both os are up to date, the 2 devices are in the same room, same network and i do not understand why this is so elusive. samsung chat has been useless, all they do is throw up links to areas i have already been to with no help.
We are sorry to hear about this. Is your XE500C the Chromebook 2 or Chromebook 2 version? Are both devices connected to the same WiFi network and band (2.4 or 5GHz)? Is the bluetooth enabled on bot devices?
