Almost all problems we had in Beta 1 are still there in Beta 2.
Recap:
1) No "external display only" option in Dex, only "duplicate" and "extend".
- Duplicate works, but it's very bad for productivity.
- Extend not only is bad for productivity (you move your mouse to the edge of the screen, and the mouse pointer suddenly is on the phone screen) but it's also incredibly bugged (see next point)
2) In Dex, on the external display, most apps are not sized correctly. A few examples: remote desktop, YouTube, Geforce Now. They all start in a non resizable smaller window, crashing when trying to go full screen or refusing to resize. There's also an intermittent problem with external display audio routing.
3) Avf, Android native virtualization framework, which is mandatory according to Google, is still disabled in Beta2. Google terminal is available but crashes when executed

The combined effect of everything above, is that desktop productivity is, at this stage, no longer available because the ways to achieve that are three, and they are all broken as of now.

A) Dex on external display is bugged beyond repair (see point 1 above)
B) Remote Desktop (now renamed "Windows" app) is one of those apps that is launching in a non resizable smaller window, unless you duplicate the screen, but if you do that you are limited to the phone screen resolution. (see points 1 and 2 above).
C) On device virtualization, that would allow you to launch Linux or Windows locally, is also disabled because of non-compliance with Google requirements.

I am sure that mobile productivity is a major factor in deciding to get a flagship Samsung device, so in my opinion it is extremely important that those issues are fixee before the product is released.
Counting on the next Beta to see at least some improvement.
