Yeah, I'm not used to that lol. I saw the announcement in members app and so I checked. First time I actually got the notice BEFORE I got the update lol

Will devices on beta automatically be updated to the official release or will we need to unenroll from beta?

When beta is over and moves to the final release, everyone officially in the beta will auto-update to that.

Androids never autoupdate. You always have to manually initiate. You have to check every day yourself. We dont even get popup notifications to tell us.

Not entirely accurate. Samsung never auto updates, because they have not implemented Androids seamless updates. There are other OEMs that Automatically download new updates in the background and will install them the next time you reboot
