Are you getting a SW update notification on your device?  Can you please elaborate on what exactly the issue is with the SW update.

There's an old trick with watch firmware updates. First, disconnect from Bluetooth, then go into settings on your watch and try updating via Wi-Fi via your watch only. Usually that works if the transfer from your phone to the watch fails. 

Try that, but that may not be the issue.
