Beta program- don't do it!!!

I joined to beta program for Galaxy Watch 4. I enjoyed it for a while and decided to get the Watch 6. I wanted to use my Watch 4 as a $200 trade-in. I got out the beta program and did a factory reset before sending it back to Samsung.  I verified after reset the watch woke up ok and started the "NEW" watch setup procedure and sent it back.

I was just informed the watch failed trade-in status due to "device could not boot normally". I know it booted ok before I shipped it so I assume the issue is it doesn't have official software on it?  What gives?

It's their software and I was doing them a favor running the beta software to look for bugs. As I've read,  there's no way to reinstall official software back on device, even if taking it to Samsung repair station as suggested.  Never joining beta program again. Not worth it

Very unfortunate how Samsung has sun the beta and launch of their new watch. Poor planning. 

I'm still waiting for my GW6C.

Won't be here until end of September, over a month to deliver.

Given the delay with the official release of for GW4C I suppose it is an advantage for the delayed delivery.

I'm probably not doing beta going forward either. Poorly done Samsung.

Why assume?  Contact Samsung through the chat and demand an explanation.  Tell them of the issue and escalate to a supervisor and get this corrected.

I had an issue with my first Watch 5 Pro (that I signed up for the Beta program and installed the Beta ROM): I bought the S23 Ultra as part of a trade in for my S22 Ultra.  In attempting to switch over from the S22 Ultra to the S23 Ultra - I  tried to switch the Watch 5 Pro over to the new phone using the switch to new device option...

Needless to say that the Watch 5 Pro would not complete the setup on the S23 Ultra and I had to warranty the Watch 5 Pro to get a new one (which they just swapped out the logic board and gave me a new battery).
