Can't remove google Assistance from home button. Any suggestions?

Is this after you install the beta firmware or it has always been an issue? I am able to remap the button but I don't use Google Assistant either.

Hello,

You can turn off Google Assistance from Home button through Settings:

Settings > Google > Settings for Google apps > Search, Assistant & Voice > Toggle Google Assistant off.
