Yeah that's true. Is wiping the cache going to mess anything else up? Or is it pretty safe?

Wiping cache won't mess anything up. Just clear temporary system files. It's fine to do so.

Hello @thenoseknows ,

Did you select "Select Items" before looking to hide the app ? We are able to both reorder and hide items in a secure folder. Please erase the device cache using steps below. If issue persists, Please update Samsung members app to latest version from galaxy store and send us an error report from the Samsung memberā€™s app -> Beta Feedback -> Error Reports to help us debug the issue.

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Side key.
  3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
  4. An 'Installing system update' message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear.
  5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight Wipe cache partition.
  6. Press Side key to select.
  7. Press the Volume down key to highlight Yes, then press the Side key to select.
  8. When the process is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
  9. Press the Side key to restart the device.

Regards,
One UI Beta Team

Did as instructed, I can now see the select items (couldn't before) but when I try and rearrange the apps they just fly back to their original spot.

I sent an error report (using stable OneUI 4.1, not beta), and the support representative replied that "this is a standard configuration and that it's not possible to change [the sort order]". I replied that I used to able to do this in previous versions of OneUI, so I'd like him to forward this report to the Samsung dev team, and he replied that "in this new version the apps are only sorted alphabetically and that it's not possible to sort them how I want". A very disappointing answer.
