I am writing to express my significant dissatisfaction with Samsung's current software distribution practices. The strategy of restricting software updates to newly released devices, thereby necessitating annual upgrades for consumers, is highly problematic. While I acknowledge the necessity of hardware advancements, the fragmentation of software across your product line is a considerable concern. The recurring justification that "the hardware on previous devices won't support the new software" is, in my opinion, an inadequate explanation. We urge Samsung to re-evaluate its approach to software accessibility and strive for greater consistency across its device ecosystem. The current situation is causing considerable frustration among your customer base. STOP GATE KEEPING SOFTWARE!!!

This would be like having a 90s computer hardware that could run windows XP OS, and now expecting Microsoft to make Windows 11 work on the old hardware. It's not going to happen. Hardware upgrades also require programing upgrades to function properly.

Nothing new, it's not just Samsung, they have to sell and if it's hardware ....it's not gatekeeping, all the other features will become available for the s25 -

I completely agree. There's just no reason not to include the s26 features to the s25. Especially to the cameras optimization, features, battery performance, and overall UI experience. It's still unpolished on the s25 ultra. Not to mention it took almost 5mos of testing and waiting for this very disappointing update. Samsung needs to change their name to samsh*. This will be my last samsung device. Iphones are improving their features and is still leading with consistent software updates across all devices. Time to switch as a long time samsung user since the galaxy S3

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your feedback and concerns.

We understand that software availability and update timing across different devices can be frustrating. Software rollout decisions may vary depending on device models, hardware configurations, regional requirements, carrier validation, and software optimization considerations.

Customer feedback regarding software experience and update expectations is valuable, and your comments will be shared with the relevant teams for review.

We appreciate your continued interest and participation in the Samsung ecosystem.

Best regards,
