Probably an edge case, joined the beta program and was performing the update while the alert was sent out (2:20ET) phone finished at 2:25et.
When update finished and the phone started up the alert came, but it was in Spanish.
My phone is set to English.

The alert came in multiple times for some people, in both english and Spanish, so you probably just got the second wave.
