Feature request: Let me choose a separate background in the app tray

I wish that the app tray wasn't a slightly grayed out area. Aesthetically it's not very pleasing. It would be a cool additional feature to be able to choose a background for the app tray. Let me "frost" and "unfrost" the tray as well.
