GBoard stops working in a few apps, have to close the app and reopen it to use the keyboard. I tried the stock Samsung keyboard but I just don't like it plus it's missing features that's on GBoard.
Within the Language and Input page, you'll find the On-screen keyboard option under Keyboard. ... From the On-screen keyboard screen, you have to select the Manage keyboards option at the bottom of the list, and from there, you can turn on Gboard by tapping on its toggle.
As issue involves a 3rd party app, fix needs to be performed from the application side. It would be best if you let app developers know of this issue through their support channels.
