I've had the same issues many have with registering fingerprints. Brand X, random choice, glass protectors from Amazon.
What I found today that works and why.
When registering before I was slamming my thumb over the setup circle in various circular patterns. Mostly use my thumb.
It would work up to 30 or 40 percent then fail out after mutiple tries later, repeatedly.
What worked.
Just the tip of my thumb that fits inside the circle and rotation.
Now, a couple apps do not work, but I attribute that to their apps, I'm running Samsung Beta, One UI8 and Android 16 and I don't think banking apps have caught up.
They continue to ask me to turn on fingerprints in settings even though it's already on.
Most others work, Bitwarden etc. no issues now, no retries, fast and repeatable.
So, for large men thumbs the detection circle could be a little bigger for flat bs tip print detection.
