Before the beta when you clicked on the Gmail notification the app would open. Now it expands. Is there or can there be an option to open and not expand?
We've seen similar feedback from users regarding notification behavior changes in the Beta. In the current One UI 7 Beta, tapping on some notifications (like Gmail) may expand the preview instead of directly opening the app, which is a shift from the previous behavior in One UI 6.
While this could be part of the updated notification interaction design, we understand that many users prefer the quicker access to the full app. We'll be forwarding this suggestion to the development team for review.
In the meantime, we recommend submitting this feedback through the Samsung Members app so it can be officially logged and considered for future updates.
