Those modules are side projects by the developers. They never update them until the OS goes code complete so I wouldn't ever count on that. It's been this way forever and probably won't ever change.
Yes. 5- time Beta tester here. Good Lock isn't compatible with betas. But many times a component of Good Lock will be integrated into the final build (like the revamped wallpaper editor). It was originally only available through Good Lock.
