Issues connecting after beta. I'm able to temporarily fix by turning off sim 1, then turning back on.  This allows successful connection again yet only temporary.  Last time this was done connection lost after an hour or so.  This is a T-Mobile locked S22U.  This behavior was not present prior to 5.0 Beta.

Once I turn off sim and turn it back on, it works fine for me

I had the same issue on my. And everytime while on Beta if you restart your phone and you go to Google messages setting and click on the RCS enable feature (Chat Feature), it will just say connecting in yellow...the fix to this everytime is like to you mentioned....by going into connection setting, Sim card manager and toggle Sim 1 to off... wait like 10 sec and toggle back on....that will re enable RCS and will say connected in green in the Google message options under Chat features. But I also did send an error report bug to Samsung team and also sent feedback to Google via email.

After the last carrier services app update, (dated August 9 in Play store but pushed out August 18) mine seems to stay "connected". I hope this lasts.

Resetting SIM 1 no longer works for me, it just stays in "connecting" mode all the time! I'm using "Signal" for my default sms/chat app until Google or Samsung straightens it out.

Everyone is saying reset sim but even after doing that it doesn't download any pending MMS, this is by far the worst user experience I've had in a beta

Same here....it only fixes it for a short time. Then it buffers the messages coming in... Sent feedback

It doesn't even reliably take care of the recent messages that have come up, it was very sporadic in its ability to catch itself up. And switching to Samsung's messages didn't help this issue
