Is anyone else experiencing the home screen freezing when trying to switch between apps? App that won't close?

Yes. Have reported it as a bug. Happens frequently and seemingly on apps that have consumed higher amounts of memory.

I have had the same bug, but I noticed if I hold down on the button it seems to work.

If you're having problems with the navigation bar I would suggest switching to using the buttons one for now. I had that problem myself using the swipe gestures but I don't seem to have it using the buttons.
