I expected much more from One UI 8, the new features and additions are good and make the interface feel more polished, but seriously Samsung, how is it possible that the S23 still drags OpenGL and still hasn't moved to Vulkan, I also expected them to add the Audio eraser, the only thing it brought were improvements in the animations (which is always welcome as long as you don't break them in the process), and some improvements to the interface which is also good, but there are changes that users have asked for since One UI 7 and at least until now with beta 1 (ZYHC) none of that has been solved.
Changes that not were made in One UI 7 and are still missing in One UI 8:
- Blur effect on notifications on the lock screen.
- System icon designs in the status bar that match the new design (like the battery icon did).
- Use Vulkan as HWUI and completely discard the use of OpenGL.
Although not everything is bad, I'm glad that Samsung has fixed some issues that One UI 7 was experiencing, such as:
- AOD and Nowbar animations
- Nowbar position when AOD is active
- Samsung Dex facelift, although it lost some features
- Animations improvements in some sections of the system that were needed
I hope Samsung takes note this time and that at least the Vulkan issue is resolved in beta 2.

I don't know why I bother reporting bugs or suggesting improvements, after all, you don't listen to anyone. And I'm pretty sure the same situation will be repeated as with the One UI 7 beta program. 😒
