My phone was doing this on the old UI if that's what you're talking about. To be fair, I had an issue with my GPS so I just called my carrier and told them to reset my phone from the tower and after that day I've had 5G available. I didn't even know that I didn't have it available before. I'm not sure, but there might be a setting to turn off 5G by the way. If that's a problem for you.
It wasn't a problem. From before when you go from lte to 5g it would disconnect from the tower and reconnect and it would take several seconds. Now with the beta it's instant Edit: I mean from going to settings and and changing it. Not when it does it itself
