Major bug in the beta!

This is only started happening on one of my S22 Ultras. Whenever I swipe to go to the home screen I get the dialog to choose a default launcher. I use Nova and even if I tap "always" I get the launcher selection every time. In settings is selected as the default launcher. This happens when I select OneUI launcher as well. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't help. This happened after I installed a Nova update and the phone crashed. The phone was crashing a few seconds after any update or app installation every time on Beta 1, on Beta 2 it happens once in a while not every time. I guess when it crashed after the Nova update it  up some system settings. I keep sending my logs through the members app and nothing is being done about it. The second S22U doesn't have the issue or the crash issue even though it running more apps and is 6 months older. The one I use as my goto outside phone which is only 2 months old is having all the problems.

Check battery setting for the Nova Launcher app and ensure it is set to unrestricted. It sounds like android is killing the app when it isn't on screen.

No, it happens with OneUI stock one too now. Definitely a bug.

I've been using nova during the entire run through this beta and have no oddues with anything launcher related

On my other almost Identical S22U I haven't had any issues either, go figure!

Try Booting into recovery, clear cache and repair apps.

Well I hate to say it. But it's looking like two more weeks for beta 3. I'm good I only have one bug so far

Yep, it's a livable bug so I'll wait and see if beta 3 will fix it. I set-up oho+ to just launch nova instead of home button or I can just click on the launcher when I forget and swipe to it. I have a lot of customizations and mods that I really don't want to set up all over again if I do a factory reset. Hopefully the beta 3 will have some improvements if it's taking this long. The weird thing is my other identical S22U hasn't had any issue since beta 1.
