Material You not working within apps

Google apps that used to adapt to the color theme are staying the default blue color for me. The widgets for the apps change, and the icons change, but the apps don't seem to. Is anyone else experiencing this?

No issue here.

Are you using a color theme through Theme Park or are you using color Palette?

They only change using color Palette.

If in fact you are using color Palette and not some other theme. Try wiping the cache partition of your device using recovery mode and then rebooting. This may clear it up.

Same situation as you, the palette worked fine on 5.1 before upgrading to 6.0bate,

Some apps were changed by Google to follow their own colors, not the color palette. Google Play Store is an example.
