This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think Samsung dropped the ball on this.  This shouldn't be called ONE UI 4.  AT BEST it should be ONE UI 3.5.  There's really nothing new here that warrants a new UI number.  No major UI/graphics/usability changes.  Whereas, the Pixel looks AMAZING.  Totally new design, and it's "basic" Android 12.  Samsung puts its proprietary skin (ONE UI) on, and it's a "downgrade" from the Pixel.  I expected a lot more from Samsung.  Now, unless they're saving a ton of new stuff for the final release, Samsung lost a lot of chutzpah.

What's everyone else's thoughts?

It is in no way shape or form an Exynos SoC
https://www.google.com/amp/s/beebom.com/google-tensor/amp/
It's completely custom. Like I said. Reading comprehension eludes you.

who is building the tensor chip for Google? Samsung is building I'm not going to bother arguing since you are closed minded and ignore even when given sources and no matter how much more information I add on top you are ignorant and will only see what you want to see. The only custom thing is an additional tensor core but it is still built on top of an exynos package. If you purchase a pixel 6 you can even run adb and run a command to see hardware drivers it will list exynos

it's still a custom modified exynos

I don't know why I'm having a discussion with someone who don't even personally own the Pixel 6 yet and thinks their opinion is valid over an actual user and even disregard any inputs on the quality and issue of the device so far

I'm not discussing anything with someone who just figured out how to root a phone. Get with me in about 15 years and we'll compare apples there big boy

ahh the I run out of facts or rebuttel to be provide against all the facts provided. so I'm going to launch some random insult reply and make assumptions about rooting which is off topic from what this is about, nice deflection ..

You provide all the evidence with every single comment that you make. READING COMPREHENSION ELUDES YOU. You can't even comprehend the articles you're posting. IT IS NOT AN EXYNOS CHIP. BUILT ON AN EXYNOS FOOTPRINT DOES NOT MEAN IT'S EXYNOS. IT'S ARM ARCHITECTURE. THE ALLOCATION OF THE CORES IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. IT USES A 20 CORE GPU INSTEAD OF 14 IN AN EXYNOS. IT USES TWO PERFORMANCE, TWO MID, AND FOUR LOW. EXYNOS USES 1-3-4. JUST BECAUSE IT'S MANUFACTURED USING SAMSUNG 5nm MANUFACTURING DOES NOT MAKE IT AN EXYNOS CHIP. GOOGLE DEVELOPED IT AND OWNS THE RIGHTS TO IT. God you're a moron.

So it's a custom modified exynos chip even has the same exynos modem.  Even has exynos code on the Pixel Firmware.  Very custom indeed.  I love the all caps it adds so much emotion

Here more for your reading pleasure

https://www.gizchina.com/2021/11/02/google-tensor-chip-is-a-modern-version-of-samsung-exynos-chips/

Last month, the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro were introduced, one of the features of which was the chip. The company positions it as a product of its own design. It was not said directly about this, but informed sources say that it was not without Samsung. There is new evidence that the company is trying to sell Exynos under the guise of a proprietary Tensor.

"Anandtech resource expert Andrei Frumusanu, rummaging through the Pixel 6 firmware, found code fragments indicating that Tensor relates to Exynos chips. In fact, this is an intermediate version between Exynos 2100 and Exynos 2200, which received the Exynos 9845 (S5E9845) model number. For information, the model number for the Exynos 2100 chip is Exynos 9840 (S5E9840)."

This information only confirms that Google did not create the chip from scratch, but went along the path of tuning Exynos. True, serious work was done on the processor and in terms of performance, it does not graze the back ones. The results are not outstanding, but decent. It is impossible not to recall a special computing neuro module; which contributes to the speed and improvement of photo processing.

Read it over and over and over again and maybe if you take some notes, draw some pictures, and maybe ask for some crayons, you'll be able to comprehend what you read. The amount of ignorance is mind blowing.
