I understand that the Galaxy S23 have been on the market for some time now, but I'm pretty sure it can handle this AI feature, especially since it's cloud-based rather than local. So the NPU isn't going to have to do much work. Plus, the Snapdragon 8 gen 2 is pretty powerful to handle that feature, in my opinion.

What do you think, S23 users?

I think that Samsung wants us to buy a new model using programmed obsolescence trick.

Since last year the security and system update are always very very late and now we will miss some feature...

So I guess my next smartphone won't be a Samsung ...

Hello,

We understand the curiosity and concerns regarding AI feature availability on the Galaxy S23. While some AI features are cloud-based, others may require on-device processing, hardware optimizations, and deeper system integration to ensure a smooth and reliable experience.

Samsung evaluates feature rollouts based on device compatibility, hardware capabilities, and long-term optimization. While newer models may introduce certain AI-powered functionalities first, Samsung remains committed to long-term software support for its flagship devices, including the S23 series.

We appreciate your feedback and understand the importance of timely updates and feature availability. If there are any changes regarding AI features for older models, they will be announced through official Samsung channels.

We value your loyalty to Samsung and your participation in the One UI Beta community. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!

Regards,
One UI Beta Team

It seems to me that it is more programmed obsolescence, it is a 2023 phone and I am pretty sure that the audio eraser feature will not have a problem with the processor that these phones have. 🫤
