Anyone else having issues where you get notification and the icon stays on the screen for few minutes before it disappears

I have the S View cover and I noticed the icon that comes up on the cutout did seem to sit there for an extended period of time.

I've had text messages come through and when I tap mark as read the notification stays on the screen. I can swipe away though. Using Google messages.
