Notifications doesn't take me directly to app

When setting notification style to brief, I'm unable to click on the notification to take me directly to the app. I noticed this while getting google messages notifications.

Update: I'm referring to the pop up bubble notification

Same problem here. Touching them does mark them as read, and closes the notification, though.
