The UI 8.5 beta run for the S25 models, has now surpassed the UI 7.0 beta run that was for the S24 line which was 125 days *Dec 4, 2024 - April 7, 2025). This beta run started on Dec 8, 2025 and now has gone on for 127 days and counting. I have one conjecture here; beta 9 may be skipped and go right into the beta 10 release candidate or final release at the beginning of May. If beta 9 comes it may probably be Thurday? I think Samsung is integrating more of what features that were supposed to be S26 exclusives, what would probably be more in the release of the UI 9.0 (back-porting) for the S25 line later this years. Mass criticism form the S25 community has been loud over this. This is an article from  yesterday..

Having said this,I think this will be my last ever beta test for Samsung. I know it is by my choice, totally voluntary, but if I count both the UI 8.0 beta run and the current UI 8.5 beta run, I have been in a betas 239 of 438 days and counting while having my S25U.

It actually came out on April 8 for South Korea, India and in the EU, but for some reason, only a few in the US got it. It must have been paused. If you have it, shows us the download or provide a verifiable link that says it came out today.

It's not going to be today. Would have been available already. It's been delayed or something.

I'm I am pleased to participate in any beta program, as this is approximately my fifth or sixth experience, having started with the original One UI. I am content for the developers to take the necessary time to ensure everything is perfected to our satisfaction. Regrettably, they no longer provide the brief surveys that inquired about various preferences and dislikes, but I remain eager to assist in any way I can.

I'm also happy to be in any beta. Samsung should take as long as they need to get everything right. No one wants a half baked solution. For those that think this is taking too long, really in March we had a very stable update that Samsung could have said, that's what they would push out as the stable upgrade, however, since they got a lot of backlash about not releasing new AI features to a phone that is just at a year old at the time, they decided to take our feedback( Thankfully and Gratefully!) and go back to the drawing board to get the S25 series all new AI features. This by itself will take longer, so I'm happy to wait a little longer for the advanced AI features of the S26 than to have Samsung end the beta program and give the S25 series nothing special, leaving it well behind the S26.
