Samsung has blocked any user ability to select carrier bands, unlocked phones are the WORST in US. Upgraded to one UI via T-mobile. Was awesome. 5G LTE, etc.
Switched to Xfinity (Verizon MVNO) and it has fantastic 5G on Xfinity and Verizon in my location.
My Fold 4 Unlocked One UI 6 has only 1 bar LTE. no VOLTE, no 5G. I can't use web and make a call. wireless calling is broken.
So you think this is Xfinity problem - no, it's that Samsung has taken complete control over carrier settings and gotten them wrong. Blocked all user/app carrier band control.
This is my phone, carriers are like the internet, now i have to root it and risk security because of these naive decisions.
Nobody to help me, Xfinity needs to work with Verizon, needs to work with Samsung and they do not care.
I literally have nobody to turn to except samsung who says factory reset (which i've done 4 times for various reasons and takes HOURS).
