After about a week on the beta, the fingerprint sensor just failed. I could not log in with any of the four saved fingerprints. I removed all saved fingerprints and started to register them again. I was able to save one, but subsequent fingerprints failed to complete registration. I submitted feedback, but I'm surprised that it took this long into a beta test before it failed.
Not to discount your experience, but the fingerprint recognition seems better than ever with the current beta. I have a glass screen protector with a matte finish and normally fails most of the time. It is much better with this beta. Not sure if anything was actually done to the sensor in the update but it is way better for me. Sorry to hear about the total failure you had. 😔
