The work around is less then ideal. Best solution to stop the error message and keep my navigation bar unchanged? Unistall Samsung pay. Which is lame, but it's better than the alternative for now. Will reinstall when fixed.

But isn't the workaround better than uninstalling ... seeing as GPay doesn't work at all during beta ?

ideal work around is disable quick access on the home screen and use a different launcher. just keep gestures on, if you do not want navigation bar

That seems a long time from now considering it's an obvious issue with a way less than an ideal workaround.

Another poster in another thread suggested this and has worked for me. Keep your gesture navigation and no errors
Here's a better workaround. Rather than disabling gestures and going back to buttons (poor experience), force stop Samsung Pay as follows:
- Go to Settings and search for "Admin"
- Select 'Device admin apps' under Biometrics and security
- Go into 'Device admin apps' and disable Samsung Pay
- Now go to App info for Samsung Pay and you can force stop.
