Since switching from an iPhone 13 Pro to the S23 and OneUI beta, I notice that the car signal strength display updates very infrequently. The last time I was in the car, I went at least five minutes with the display showing no bars even though I was in high signal strength areas during the drive.
At the same time, another phone in the car on the same provider (Tmobile) showed two bars of 5G.
As soon as I stopped at a light, took the phone out of my pocket and hit the power button, it woke up and updated the car signal strength display.
I used to see this behavior many years ago on Android but not lately. Since I went straight to the beta when I got the S23 I cannot say if this is just on the beta or if this is "normal" behavior. It certainly isn't desirable behavior.
I second this. However, I am not sure if the bug is on the Samsung or Google side of things. The AA signal strength indicator is mostly useless at this point.
