It took some getting used to the new UI features but there is some new features I like and use and some I don't. But I like the choice no to use them if I don't want to like the notification separately from quick panel. I choose to use the original way where both come down with a swipe anywhere. But I actually like alot with this update.
Just a tip for you @rmoore when you have the Notification Shade set to separate when you pull it down when whether it be Notifications or Quick Panel you can swipe left and right and it will switch between the two panels
