It is only common courtesy to keep us informed. Samsung has zero courtesy. They don't care. Used us prisoners to be geinuey pigs for their Beta. Total nonsense and they have a lot of nerve keeping us in the dark within the dungeon they locked us within!
I believe since the LTE models are using Proprietary Networks, Each Carrier has to approve of the software and also test to make sure the Paid service isnt affected by the update. If it does have lets say a texting issue etc. then they send it back to samsung to fix and then back to the carriers. Ping pong.
I agree with Rob, but there were LTE users in the beta.
I guess Samsung and the carriers (minus Verizon) must have thought that we, the LTE participant "hellraisers" in the beta, were "inconsequential." We were treated like BT users when each beta release versions were pushed to us, and some of us were likely on those very same carrier networks (except, of course, Verizon's network).
I'm not trying to be harsh or a smart alleck, but the logic, or lack thereof, is truly head-scratching. I just feel that we should have been pushed the stable release, and we could have been just as "inconsequential" until the next stable release to fix that stable release is released.
Something tells me that the LTE part of the code is pretty stable by now, and was likely quite stable in the beta and stable release.
Maybe they wanna see how many GW Lte users will get fed up of waiting and go running to their respective carriers and trade for the GW6. And where are the guys running this place? If they're not gonna keep us posted on anything they might as well close this beta thread already.
I, like quite a few people, run a GW4 with LTE. I don't have a carrier. Where would I/we go? We didn't need carriers or their approval to participate in the Beta. Verizon users were not allowed to participate in the Beta as that carrier needs to do testing.
I don't know who the other mystery carriers are. There must be a good reason they didn't object to LTE users testing the Beta. The beta forum hasn't seen any complaints from said LTE users. The stable release would function as well as the beta has as far as LTE is concerned.
