I'll get text notifications when I'm using an app, but other than that I won't get notified about any texts I received. When I'm using my buds pro 2 the assistant will let me know but that's it. No pop ups, notification Bible which I have enabled. I'll find out by pulling down the notification panel. Anyone else notice this it might be me. I'm using Textra. But it does the same no matter what message app I use.
I would double check your notification settings and also make sure your battery app isn't putting the apps to sleep thereby killing background usage and your notifications.
