Video setting set to aspect ratio

Samsung should develop settings or an app that will stretch a video to fit the aspect ratio of the z fold 6 main screen. Its kind of annoying how I get black bars on top and bottom of a video. And if I chose to fill the screen by using the pinch gesture to fill the screen part of the video is cut off. Please make a video setting that will make videos fill the screen to the correct aspect ratio so that the full video is visible without it being cut off.

Not sure if that's possible. Aspect ratios are determined by the original format of the video, and if it was, the video probably wouldn't look right. The video will have to be recorded in the aspect ratio similar to the fold 6 main display.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting the experience of watching videos on the Galaxy Z Fold6.

We understand how important full-screen video playback is, especially on a large, immersive display like the Fold’s main screen. Your suggestion to implement a setting or app that intelligently adjusts video aspect ratios—without cropping or adding black bars—is a valuable one.

We’ll share this with the development team for review. Enhancing multimedia experiences on foldable devices is a key focus, and feedback like yours helps shape future improvements.

Thanks again for being part of the One UI Beta program and for helping us build a better experience!

Regards,
One UI Beta Team

Your request is literally impossible.

Draw a picture on a business card. Now take a picture of that drawing with your GF6 canera set to full screen capture, and make sure the resulting picture takes up the entire screen.

You will not be able to accomplish it. That's because they are different sizes. The only way to accommodate for such would be to add blank space around the image (that is what the black bars are doing when you watch a video), or to stretch the smaller image to the same size as the screen, causing heavy distortion.
