Not sure if this is the same but after the update I couldn't send a chat msg to another user unless I sent it as txt! Now I can't back to sending as chat to the same user...

Update: As it turns out, this glitch was not related to the One UI 5.0 update.

Mine just keep saying downloading

Same. Using Samsung messages. I have to turn airplane mode on and back off for mms to come through, or for outgoing sms to go out. I reported it and sent error logs.
