App drawer and home screen changes help

This update is terrible. Z flip 6. Just got pushed the update and hating it. This new app drawer feels so much less efficient, and swiping from the top of the screen in different places feels like it will take ages to get used to and be error prone.

IThis is the first time a change to the OS has had me fuming and struggling to use the basic functions of my phone. What's going on? Also what about the 4x5 grid of the homes screen it made it 4x4 and 4x6 and it made everything so much smaller. I don't need that much extra on my home screen. Please bring the 4x5 back. It also changed the pallet color for my apps on my home screen. Bright pink instead of the darker pink in the pallet. IDK there is just so many things that has completely messed up the look and feel of my phone. Sad thing I can't even return back to the previous version. I really hope this gets fixed or options get integrated with the next update to fix these issues and to bring back the functions of the status bar we all grew to love. And make the background more transparent and not that white haze it's awful and the folder background when opened. Like come on who even thought that was a good look. Plzzzzz help make this right.

I figured out how to get my many apps in alphabetical order with side to side swipe. It's faster than moving by hand, but stupidly slow compared to before. 

Tap (don't hold 3 dots)

Choose custom sort

Tap 3 dots again

Choose settings

Scroll down to hide apps on home and apps screen

Hide all the apps (unfortunately you must select each one)

Then add back one by one (they are in alphabetical order on that screen)

The apps will then appear alphabetical

If you add apps, probably easier to move them into the correct spot than redoing this process

Samsung if your listening, please bring back easy alphabetical sort for side scrolling. While you are at it, bring back custom names for apps. I miss that. I hate some of the titles.

That seems awfully cumbersome! It took me about 3 minutes, I put my icons in category folders in my app screen and now I only have one app screen when I pull my app shade down and I'm one click away from going just about anywhere.

yes. I did the same thing with my Tab S9 cuz I didn't like the 8x6 home screen grid so i used home up to to get my old home screen grid back cuz I was so familiar with my setup cuz it's me and it's unique to me.

You can get most of everything back following the link to my post that @Mujibar has provided. Download Goodlock from the Galaxy Store and the HomeUp module. There you will be able to get your 4x5 grid back.

Personally, I am a 6x7
