Hello! I have a Galaxy Z Flip3 5G (model #SM-F711U/DS), and I'm having an issue with my phone seeming to automatically adjust color saturation/brightness on the screen as I scroll through apps or even just interact with the UI (mostly visible in black becoming grey). It's not that drastic of a change, but it is consistent and annoying and I really need it to stop. Annoyingly, as this is a display issue, screenshotting the difference doesn't work (the screenshots are the same color when sent to my computer).

My best guess is this is something related to an HDR auto-adjust, making everything more 'vivid' when there's any imagery or drastic color-change on screen. It does seem to at least partially be the brightness that's being changed, because if I max out brightness it stops happening. Obviously I am not going to run my phone at max brightness all the time, however, so I need a fix.

  • Android says it's up to date, version 13.
  • One UI says it's up to date, version 5.1.
  • This does not appear to be an app or app settings problem; I've noticed it occurring in the apps for Discord, Tumblr, Firefox, Gallery, and in portions of the Samsung UI itself.
  • Yes I am set to 'Vivid' color in settings.
  • Yes 'Adaptive Brightness' is turned off, and I have tried enabling and disabling it.
  • No, turning on Power Saving Mode did not fix this.
  • Yes it persists through a restart.

Suggestions or a fix, anyone?
