Fold & Flip Phones

I have a samsung flip 5 phone, two months old.   Still under Factory Warranty.  The factory screen protector is bubbling at the seam where it folds. To get this repaired I either need to send my phone in to samsung for 14 days or go to a local repair shop who wants total access to my phone to run tests on it before and after they fix the SCREEN PROTECTOR. I don't need tests run on my phone. I dont need a technician having access to my phone for an 1.5 hours.   I have financial and work contracts on my phone.  This is completely stupid. All I need is a screen put on it that takes 10 minutes. You don't need access to my phone for that. Samsung won't ship just the protector screen.

I had the same issue with Flip 4.  Looks like I'll be moving to Google phone.

Can't you remove that screen protector and put your own on like I pretty sure I've seen people buying screen protector specifically for the flip

You can put your phone in maintenance mode, this way they won't have access to sensitive data. It's in the support section of the members apps. They will only have access to pre-installed apps, no pictures, contacts, apps you've downloaded. Password protected

I replaced my own on the flip 3. Wondering if you can do it yourself. I went through the same thing you described by sending it to them. Under Warranty but there was a scratch on the back so they tried to say the repair couldn't be covered and I'd have to pay for it. I fought them and a nice tech named Douglas saved my life.

Hey I have the same problem about the protector, coming up at the fold and I wrote on here and it seems to be gone I had some smart **bleep** come back and saying it's the way most us owners don't know how to close the phone he had them all and had no problem with them of course he a smart **bleep** most people close like they close a book but he said we close them wrong and said they would replace them up to a year there is no doubt it a big flaw in the in witch there are lot more them that I think samsung knew there was a flaw from the beginning I think samsung should give us a reimbursement back to allow for them sale us a bad phone do you agree

I believe you, brother.
I have a Z Fold 6 and I'm gonna take it in to get my screen protector replaced, but I will have my phone in maintenance mode and see what they have to tell me. I know they have to run there. Tests to see how I use my phone, which it is stupid cause I just want the screen protector replaced. Depending on how it goes next year, I might move to a Google phone because of design language of their foldable devices has been the same for many years. And a new pixel 9 pro fold really made an amazing impression, and the redesign. Of their hardware from scratch Makes it appealing even though the software on Samsung. It's one of the best, but i will see what happens, hopefully they replace it. Because I love my phone so much. And the reflective inner screen protector allows you to see the scratches in certain lighting conditions, and they're annoying
