Flip 5: Slow charging

My flip 5 says charging has been slowed down as the phone is cold.
1. The weather outside is warm and no part of phone feels cold.
2. It stops charging when the flip is closed.
3. Tried restarting multiple times, didn't help
4. Tried warming the phone, didn't help.
5. Tried multiple charging cables and wireless chargers, still the same issue.

Anyone facing this problem with Samsung phones. Please share your tips/tricks, if you have managed to fix this issue.

Hello bmdSam, Welcome to the Community. We understand your concerns with the slow charging and not charging when closed.

Have you tried clearing the cache partition from the recovery menu? To get to recovery mode:
- Turn off phone

- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.

If you continue to experience the slow charging, try the following:

1. Make sure the phone and the apps are fully updated.

2. Test the phone with a different charger.

3. Test the phone in Safe Mode to determine if there is a 3rd-party app causing the slow charging. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

4. Factory reset the phone. Be sure to back up the data first. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

There is also an option in the Members app to run diagnostics on the phone to test the hardware. Open the Members app and tap on Support. You will see Phone Diagnostics there. If you are still experiencing the slow and no charging, we recommend having the phone evaluated by a certified technician.
