Z Fold 5 not able to turn on wifi or Bluetooth. Phone seems hotter than normal.

Anyone seen anything similar?

Hello, Welcome to the Community. We understand the concern with the phone running hotter and the connections not turning on.

Here are some tips for keeping your phone at its optimal temperature: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10002887/

Clearing the cache partition may help with the increased temperature, as well as the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi not turning on. Follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up key, then press and hold the Side key.
  3. When the green Android logo displays, release all keys ('Installing system update' will show for about 30 - 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
  4. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
  5. Press Side key to select.
  6. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Side key to select.
  7. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
  8. Press the Side key to restart the device.

Next, try resetting the network settings. Settings>General management>Reset>Reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings

Another step to try is testing in Safe Mode to see if there is an app interfering. https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode 

A final troubleshooting step would be to factory reset the phone. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

 

If your phone is getting too warm to touch or the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings are still not turning on, repairs would be recommended in order to have the technicians evaluate the device.
