Fold 7 Notification Delays

Just in the last two weeks, my Fold 7 has been experiencing extremely delayed notifications starting with my home security camera app. The issue then started migrating to other apps including Outlook. I have technical experience and have tried every troubleshooting tip and also confirmed my cell and internet service are functioning normally. Within the last couple of days, the phone seems to be retaining notifications in the background until the phone is unlocked and then numerous notifications populate at once. I also see there are several recent posts regarding this issue. Does anyone know if Samsung is working on a fix for the next update? Thank you.

Good afternoon, RenoRich! I understand the frustrations with not receiving your notifications on time. Can you confirm what troubleshooting steps you have already tried, so I won't repeat the same ones? What software version are you currently on?

I just updated the software this morning. See attached. Still having the same issue. Notifications are received perfectly if I'm using my phone. I would like to know if this is being reported by other users for the last month. Thank you. 1776937745044.jpg

Hey, give these steps a shot.

 

  • Open Settings: Pull down your notification shade and tap the Gear icon, or find Settings in your app drawer.

  • Navigate to Apps: Scroll down and select Apps.

  • Locate Messages: Search for or scroll down to the Messages app.

  • Access Storage: Tap on Storage.

  • Clear Data: Tap Clear Data (and confirm if prompted). This wipes the app's temporary files and reset configurations.

  • Re-initialize: Open the Messages app. You may be prompted to sign in or set it as your default app again.

The Messages app is one that seems to be receiving notifications in a timely manner along with the Calendar alerts. The apps with extreme delays in notifications are third party retail apps, Google and namely my security camera notifications. I did discover yesterday that when plugged in and charging, all notifications are operating normally. Adaptive Battery off and all apps with issues set to unrestricted. Are there other reports of this issue? Is Samsung aware and developing a fix? Thank you

Hello, thank you for the reply. All troubleshooting steps have been exhausted and I've contacted both my phone service provider and ISP and there are no issues. All notifications were being received normally 3 weeks ago and never had any issues before. 1776928719812.jpg
