I bought a Galaxy Flip6 a few months ago. The inner screen stopped responding yesterday. I watched several YouTube videos to try to reboot in different ways. I spoke to Samsung Care over chat yesterday and they told me to reboot and to try to see if the screen is responsive if I peel the screen protector. I rebooted the phone any times, to no avail. I reluctantly peeled back some of the protector and that didn't work either. I didn't peel it all the way, so I just put it back over my screen with bubbles underneath.
I took my phone to a service center today. UBreakIFix said my warranty was voided because of a dent under the peeled screen protector. The customer in front of me had the SAME PHONE, SAME PROBLEM of an unresponsive inner screen. She had the tiniest scratch on the outer hinge of the phone and that voided her warranty as well.
Now I am being told to pay out of pocket. SAMSUNG CARE TOLD ME TO PEEL THE SCREEN PROTECTOR AND TRY TO SEE IF THE SCREEN WAS RESPONSIVE. I reached out to Samsung Care via chat again today and they tell me they have no record of my ever having chatted with anyone the day before. This is even though I have a Samsung account and the Samsung chat requires that I input my name, phone number, and email to get connected to an agent. This is absolutely ludicrous. I am livid. Never again. I need my iPhone back.
