Help with a missing TV remote quick setting icon

Hello everyone!

Moved from zfold 5 to a new 1tb zfold 6! I am very happy with everything. There is ONE thing I am missing. It was in the zfold 5. No longer in zfold 6. 

 The TV remote icon in the quick settings. It's not there in my zfold 6. I thought it could possibly be a Samsung feature. I looked but couldn't find it. Then I looked at 3rd party apps and installed some TV remote apps but nothing appears in the quick setting icons. 

I know this is trivial, just curious if someone knows.

Did you check the available buttons ???

⁃   Pull Down Twice
     The Quick Settings  ≻
⁃   Press The Pencil (edit) Button  ≻
⁃   Click "Top" Quick Settings  ≻
     For Top 6 Icons
⁃   Click "Full" Quick Settings  ≻
     For The Other Icons
⁃   At Available Buttons:
     Check if "TV Remote"
     Is One Of The Buttons.

Yes. I checked. Looked at the top and also the full just in case it was hiding somewhere. No luck. Must be something I installed before when on the zfold 5 but I forgot it.

It is entirely possible that the TV remote is not supported by the zfold 6, which is why the icon is not appearing. Functions that are not supported do not have a quick panel icon.

@user28wTnKaKPj My Fold 6 has the Remote control available in quick settings. Make sure that when you edit the quick panel you can swipe left/right on the panel with the extra icons to see all of the possibilities.

That's it! I certainly don't have it. I think I am an update behind because I live in the US Verizon and my phone is on update 5. They are working on getting the update 6 to work but maybe it's within that update?

@user28wTnKaKPj I have an unlocked device using an AT&T SIM card. 

Verizon does weird versioning information. 

The SW version on my Fold 6 ends in AYA3 and is the 2nd Jan 2025 security patch.

I updated to the current security patch. I used smart switch and a pc because that is what this current Verizon patch needs to complete successfully. After it updated I checked in anticipation to see if the remote was there! no, it is still missing. Oh well. If I get a clue I will be back 😂

You are correct about the Verizon versioning. I am currently running with the December 2024 security patch. The January update is having issues downloading it seems.... But I am good knowing you DO have the remote and it's most likely going to be there. Thanks for the help!
