Is Samsung experimenting with glass effects?

So I just recently put an edge lighting effect in modes and routines for when I'm charging, as I go to test it out on my cover screen, I notice that the battery status bar looks like glass, and is getting filled with liquid.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Samsung has been incorporating more "glass-like" elements into One UI. Theme Park has introduced "glass" icon options.

There has been no indication of live refraction (a la Liquid Glass) being implemented, but there are certain areas where additional depth is added to semi-transparent/blur elements. The now bar is a prime example.
