Please help, I recently got the new 8.0 update for my fold and I was looking for a picture today and realized that I'm missing pictures out of my Samsung gallery and the Google gallery. I have tried everything and nothing is working. Thanks
Sorry to say, that unless you backed them up elsewhere, if they are gone from Google Photos as well as your gallery, then they are lost. I don't know what having the update would have to do with deleting photos from Google, they stay in your Google account until they are deleted from there, that's one of the benefits of having the Google backup. Are all your photos gone, or just some of them? If recent photos are missing from Google, it may be because you ran out of free storage space or you turned off the backup at some point. Your free storage space in Google includes everything in Google Photos, Google Drive, all the folders in Gmail (including, spam, trash and sent, so you should clean those out regularly.
