Hi. My zflip 5 keeps overheating mainly when I'm driving and using Android auto. It never happened before the last update. Is this purposely so people upgrade? My friend has the zflip 6 and she is having the same issue , so I won't be upgrading. I cleared that cache for Android auto but it still heats up enough that I get a notification that the phone needs to cool down. Will it catch on fire? I am very close to leaving Samsung behind if this does not get fixed. Not going to Apple (never!) but other android co.
You can also try clearing the cache partition of the phone.
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up key, then press and hold the Side key.
When the green Android logo displays, release all keys ('Installing system update' will show for about 30 - 60 seconds before showing the Android system recovery menu options).
Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
Press Side key to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Side key to select.
When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
