Please Fix Samsung Message App Category

Since the update which has messed up my phone considerably. One is the Samsung messages app, I dont use Google because it's buggy most of the time and I like my custom themes I make with Goodlock.

The native sms app for Samsung no longer moves the selected contact into the respective folder anymore and it stays under 'All' which I dont like and causes me to get confused in my sorting now because everyone is listed under all and it used to allow me to move the entire chat into its own category. Please fix this. I run a business and it makes my life easier to contact those and sort everyone and not have them combined with my personal contacts.

That's a very broad and inaccurate statement. Google Messages works great for me and many other users.


If you'd like to submit feedback to Samsung about their messages app, you can do so through the support tab at the bottom of the Members app.

It may work for you and that's great. But my experience hasn't been great the past yr, from others not getting my messages or Im not getting theirs to not being able to hear voice messagrs or they're not loading

Samsung won't know about the problems unless users tell them. Developers don't read posts here. This is a peer-to-peer support forum. We're all just users like you. If you submit feedback through the Members app, it will go directly to Samsung.

Nope. Just lots of people commenting. And the comments mostly come from people who are unhappy. The silent population that is happy with their devices is ... well, silent.

Yeah true. I just hate this update messed up things for people. Like I woke up to it already updated I usually try to delay it as much as possible

The only way to delay an update is to set auto-download to "never." But then you would have to manually check for monthly security updates.

But I agree that this particular update was a lot. Maybe too much.
