I currently have an unlocked S10+ and just ordered the unlocked Z Fold 4 and I'm wondering if I can simply take the SIM card out of my S10+ and place it into the Z Fold 4 when it arrives, or whether I'll need a different SIM card.

Thank you!

@Scott16475 You will have no problem moving the SIM card from your S10+ to the Fold 4.

Yes u should be able as long as ur SIM isn't damaged and that it's compatible with ur new device. If ur having issues with the SIM not registering to ur network call ur cell phone provider and they will give u a few new codes to put in ur phone about phone settings I'm sorry if this is confusing I'm horrible at explaining things hopefully if helps good luck

It depends, actually. I mean, yea, it'll work but ...

If your S10's SIM doesn't support 5g, and your carrier has 5g, you'll want an updated SIM

Great information, thank you. Hmm; how will I know if my current SIM card supports 5G?

.
Do you ever see a "5g" icon in the upper Status bar, as in screenshot?

That would be the 1st indication 👍
