Samsung wallet: Why do they not work with Google wallet better

What are you trying to say? Google Wallet and Samsung wallet are two different apps and work independently of one another. Each app has to be set up separately. Google Wallet works just fine on Samsung devices, but Samsung wallet will only work on Samsung devices. On watches, you have to choose one or the other as your default payment app. On the phone, you can have both active and use whichever one you want for any given purchase. You can use Samsung pay at any payment terminal that uses Apple Pay or Google pay, or tap to pay.

If you are referring to things like the state IDs, e-tickets and boarding passes, it takes time to come to terms for partnership agreements and Samsung Wallet is an infant compared to Google Wallet which has been around longer as Android Pay/G-Pay.

If I understand correctly, you are asking why Samsung wallet is not as widely accepted at places of business when compared to Google Wallet. Is that correct?

A brief Google search seems to indicate that there is some difference in compatibility with certain readers, but is most likey an issue of broad compatibility.

Samsung wallet is manufacturer specific, while Google Wallet works with all android manufacturers, so supporting Google Wallet is a one-size fits-all solution.

@HOGGZILLA I use Samsung Wallet everywhere. What type of issues are you seeing?

Just little hiccups, most local stores don't accept Samsung pay, Ticketmaster won't allow for ticket to be added in, dave and buster cards work on Google wallet and not Sammy wallet. Google and apple are widely accepted everywhere

@HOGGZILLA Ignore the person at the cash register. If Google Wallet is accepted as pay, so is Samsung Wallet. They use the same NFC wireless payment. 

Dave and Buster Gift Cards? I must admit that I rarely use any digital wallet for any GC.

I've had the readers(not the people or the cashier) deny Samsung wallet but Google wallet works?

And my son loves Dave and busters it's not gift cards it the Access cards for the games.

If I'm not mistaken Samsung uses extra security technology and Google strictly uses NFC

They use the same technology.

Before NFC was widespread, Samsung offered MST which mimics a CC swipe. This would allow you to pay when NFC was not available.

The only reason Samsung Pay would be rejected at a terminal was if that establishment used a banking institution with no agreement with Samsung. In the US, that would be a rare situation.

Unfortunately in rural parts of the country that's still a thing.......I have a CC and 2 Bank acct that won't work on Samsung pay, but they work on Google Wallet
