I have a settings question... This has been a back and forth thing for me. I used to be able to have my Secure Folder password protected without having to have any kind of Lock Screen Security. Get a new device, now I need Lock Screen security. My last two devices, I've been able to have my Secure Folder password protected without Lock Screen Wecurity. Just got the Fold 7 and now I need Lock Screen security again. How can I go back to just have it password protected without Lock Screen Security? What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

@smthop Regardless of the what the setting says when you check, does the secure folder lock after 5 minutes?

I will do some testing in the morning regarding LongHiker's question. Thanks so much for responding!

Yes. This is stupid. Some mouth-breathing lobotomite has to justify their salary I guess.

It's a dumb change, I don't use a screen lock because its a pain to use a unlock pin or whatever everything i pick up the phone. I do however want to lock my secure folder. Even if I did lock my phone and let someone unlock and use it they now have the ability to access my secure folder. Which now makes a secure folder useless. Even if Zyou can use a separate unlock code it's just another code to remember with the dozen other pins and codes zzI may use daily. It's just a stupid change.

Nope.  Once the screen times out, the secure folder locks.  You can also keep your phone unlocked via Extend Unlock, so you do not have to enter your PIN every time you want to use it.  How often to you leave your phone someplace where anyone else can just pick it up?  As for having many different codes, there is actually nothing at all preventing you from having the same PIN on your lock screen and your secure folder.

I sent my feedback the day of the update. Need to bring the auto lock back. No need to remove the feature, just add the option back

After the update on October 9th. The secure folder no longer locks upon exiting the application or closing the app. Only offers when screen turns off and a timer. This is a huge security issue for me. They need to bring the option to lock upon exiting

What is security issue? You turn off your screen and it locks down. Unless you give phone to someone while it is unlocked, is no issue.
